For file security, you may often set a password for a compressed file. So every time the file is compressed to set a password, such repeated steps to do more, it is very boring, and inefficient. If you can generate a compressed file at the same time automatically set a password, that much more convenient! In fact, compressed software winrar already have such a function, I do not know you found no? Right! is to set the default compression option. The following is an example of WinRAR 3.0 to illustrate:
Run WinRAR, click the "Options" menu, select "Settings", in the Pop-up Settings window, click on the "Compression Options" tab. Click the "Create Default Configuration" button, in the "Set Default compression Options" window, select the "Advanced" tab, click the "Set Password" button. Next, enter your password in the Password Settings window, and then click the "OK" button on the Settings window multiple times to save the settings.
With the above settings, the default password is automatically added each time you create a compressed file using the right-click menu. To open the compressed file, you must enter this password to open it. If you want to change the password for a compressed file, then of course you can use a manual password modification.
