Wireless client cannot get IP address

After installing the wireless network card, the system automatically searches the nearby wireless AP. The system automatically assigns the IP address and subnet mask to the wireless network card, the IP address is 169.254.158.88, the subnet mask is 255.255.0.0, and only the address of the gateway is empty. But the computer cannot connect to the wireless network.

169.254.158.88 is not an IP address for routing assignment, but rather an IP address that Windows randomly selects automatically when an IP address is not obtained from a DHCP server on the network after automatic access to it. The reason for this failure is that the wireless client is not set up correctly. After you set the network parameters such as SSID, wireless network mode, WEP encryption, and so on for the wireless client, the wireless client can actually connect to the wireless network.
