It's easy to insert page numbers in a Word document, but in real Office applications, we need targeted settings to meet actual needs. For example: We make the first page of the document (a) for the cover, then naturally we do not want to have page number on the first page, the document number actually starts from the second, below we will look at Word 2007 how to solve this problem.
Open Word 2007 and toggle the tab to insert. Office 2007 is worthy of the most gorgeous office software so far, Word 2007 is the insertion of the "footer" simple function is also extremely luxurious, the system has a total of 24 sets of templates for selection. Click on the "Footer", the system will automatically display the built-in "footer" template preview, any choice you want, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1 Now "page number" is successfully inserted, the document Home page is marked as 1, so the result is not unexpected, next we will remove the page number. Do not close the Header and Footer tool (if you have closed, double-click the header, footer to open), in the "Options" Check "Home Page", you can see the page number has ceased to exist, as shown in Figure 2.

The setting is not finished, the first page number is deleted, but the page number on the second page of the Word document is still marked as 2, and we need it to be numbered 1, we need to make a change. Continue to stay in the header and Footer tool, click on "page Number", and choose "Format Page number" in the following menu, as shown in Figure 3.
Figure 3 goes to the page Number Format dialog box, sets the page numbering, sets the value of the start page number to 0, and clicks OK to finish, as shown in Figure 4.
