A few days ago in Old Xu's MSN Group chat WCF. It suddenly occurred to me that using WPF and WCF to build an audio chat room was such a wheel. In fact, I am in the company is Taiwan cooperation development. The two sides refer to the mainland and Taiwan, and three of them are Shenzhen, Taipei and Kaohsiung. Because the company is very small, so everything to save costs, of course, especially our Shenzhen development team, currently only 3 people, including two developers, a leader. Now we Taiwan communication is using Skype, because it seems that other software must have the hardware and software support. Skype as long as each member has a headset with a microphone on the line.
At ordinary times, we in Shenzhen to discuss the issue, there is a large whiteboard can be said while writing, while the discussion, or good. But Skype doesn't seem to share the function of WordPad, and what we write is not seen in Taipei or Kaohsiung. Since our project development is basically using WF, WPF, and WCF, I intend to implement such a simple meeting software in my spare time with WPF and WCF, and plan to do it step by step and put it on top of CodePlex. I'm going to use three articles to make a simple description of the current program, but I'm only spending less than a day writing this program. The reason why you want to write in three pages, even if you have never been in touch with WPF and WCF can be seen.
Before I begin, I want to say that the white thing is ' making wheels '.
Making wheels is a bad word, it is true that this thing is making wheels, here I write a few points for me to build the advantages of the wheel:
1, nature is to practice good technology
2, I will realize the way to write step-by-step, nature is to share knowledge
3, learn the design of excellent products (QQ, MSN).
I never despise making wheels. Tencent relies on ' making wheels ', OK, no more nonsense to say, let me start.
The first article is just a simple narrative, without any code, and concrete implementations.
First put forward the demand:
1. Text Chat
2. Share a whiteboard with a discussion issue
3, can carry on the voice call
4. Chat Room Members View
5. Allow Private chat
6, the user enters/leaves the chat room the broadcast notice
8, chat record to save
9, video (this is for the moment not to achieve).
Use technology:
1. WPF
2, WCF
Development tools: VS2010
Functional Analysis:
The features listed now are very simple and the interface uses WPF. There are four ways to communicate using WCF,WCF:
1, Transmission of text
2. Transfer Whiteboard image
3. Transmission Sound
4, Transmission video
For simplicity's sake, I'm going to log the chat in local XML, which is what MSN does
