People cannot live in virtual machines for the rest of their lives! It was originally the ora17 installed by the Buddy's hard disk. After the installation, it was found that the device could not be connected to the network. If it was all set up, the device could not be connected to the network! I will install fedora14 myself this time!

First, the software to be prepared ,:

1, you need to download the fedora14 DVD version, my is Fedora-14-i386-DVD.iso, about 3.2g, be sure to download this version. The live version of 600 m or more cannot be installed on the hard disk using this method. I was fascinated by this one night. The live version is only over six hundred M. After installation, you need to update and install more than 1000 software packages, and all the DVD versions have installed the software.

Installation steps:

1. Assume that you want to install fedora to the edisk. The original format of the edisk Is NTFS. First, you need to change it to FAT32. Why? After grub4dos is decompressed, grldr is used to identify the fedora image on the E disk. However, grldr only recognizes FAT32 ,. Therefore, if you are installing Linux for the first time, click my computer ---- manage ----- disk management, right-click the Elastic Block Storage and choose delete logical partition from the shortcut menu. (The premise is that you have copied the useful items from the edisk, which will be formatted ). Then, click the original Elastic Block Storage (edisk) to create a new logical partition and check whether the format is FAT32. If not, select NFS and change it to fat32by using a tool. As for the size of the new partition, first of all, I understand that the image fedora is put and some files after the ora image is decompressed. After the installation of fedora is complete, the disk can be deleted, which is visible under XP, it can be used normally. For example, if the original E disk has 80 GB, The FAT32 logical partition I created here is still an edisk, And there is 40 GB, then the 40 Gb unpartitioned is used to install the Linux system, it is invisible in XP.

One is/partition. in Linux, most system files and user files are stored in the/(Root) Partition. Therefore, the partition must be large enough, generally greater than 5 GB. Here/Partitions use the remaining space of the first two partitions.
