XP system tips for improving startup speed
1. Use the mouse to click "Start"-"Run" Open the Run window, in the window input "msconfig" Press the OK button to open the "System Configuration Utility";
2. Open the System Configuration Utility to shut down the system service startup program that we do not need, and then reboot the system, as shown in the following figure:
3. After restarting the computer, double-click "My Computer" to select "Tools"-"Folder Options"-"View", the "Automatic search network folders and printers" Check canceled;
4. Right-click Network Neighborhood Select Settings-Network Connections, and then right-click Local Area Connection, select Properties, and double-click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP);
5. When opened, set the IP address to 192.168.0.X (any value between X 1-255), and the subnet mask can be set to 255.255.255.0, as shown in the following illustration:
6. Enter the C disk C:windowsprefetch folder, remove all files with the extension pf, and restart the XP system computer, as shown in the following figure:
