Country
Enables the MS-DOS subsystem to use international time, date, currency, case-insensitive conversion, and decimal delimiters.

Specifies the location and name of the file containing country (region) information.

Note
The country command configures the MS-DOS subsystem to identify the character set used by one of the supported languages and the punctuation protocols observed. Use the % SystemRoot % \ system32 \ config. nt file orProgramTo load the "country (region)" setting.
Supported languages
The following table lists all countries or languages supported by the MS-DOS subsystem. This table lists the code pages that can use each country code. For example, if the country code used is 003, you can use only the code page 437 or 850 for the yyy parameter. The first page of the two code pages listed in each country or language is the default code page.

Specify international time and date format
Country Code specifies the time and date format used by the following command: backup, date, and time.
The following table lists the date and time formats related to each country code. For each country (region) Code, the date format column displays January 3, 1994, and the time format column displays p.m. (the second and 1% second columns are both 0 ).

Example
To convert international currency, time, date, and case to French, add the following command to the config. nt file:
Country = 033
Specify the code page with country (region) code in France. Type:
Country = 033,850
If you omit the code page but include the [drive:] [path] filename parameter, you must still enter a comma before the code page, as shown in the following example:
Country = 033, c: \ winnt \ system32 \ country. sys
