Create a WWW-based chat room using ASP program

WWW-based chat rooms may be the most convenient among various real-time contact methods on the internet: it only needs to be installed successfully on the server at a time, the client can access the client without adding any third-party software by using the IE browser that comes with Windows.
ASP program chat room V2.5 is such a WWW-based chat room server software compiled by ASP program. I. Software installation
This chat room program can run on any Web server that supports ASP, such as Win98 + PWS, WinNT + IIS4.0, Win2000 + IIS5.0, and so on. This document uses Win2000 + IIS5.0 as an example.

2. Add a virtual directory
Decompress all the content in the downloaded compressed package file “aspchat.zip to any Directory (for example, "D, the system automatically creates a new sub-directory named "aspchat" under it (the complete path is "D: spchat"), and then right-click the new sub-directory, select "Web sharing" in "attribute", specify a virtual directory name (for example, "chat") for it, and ensure that "sharing point" is "default Web site" after "sharing point ".
3. Access the chat room
If you enter "192.168.221.48/chat" in the address bar of the IE browser on the server or any client (where "192.168.221.48" is the IP address of the chatting room server and "chat" is the virtual directory name) and then press Enter to enter the main page of the chat room, it indicates that the installation is successful!
II. Use of software
After the successful installation, the chat room system comes with two users: one is the "highest administrator", and both the user name and password are "admin"; the other is a common user, and both the user name and password are "guest ".
1. Register an ordinary user
Click "register" in the main window, and enter the required information as Prompted. Then, the registration is successful! Note that the name, password, and email address are required during registration. Other items are optional.
In addition, in this chat room program, all users are divided into nine levels based on the corresponding points, and the newly registered user points are 0 points, and each minute after the user stays in the chat room, points increase by 1 point. Users of different levels will have different rights, as shown in the following table:
