Das is a DB2 Management Server (DB2 administrative server) and is used only to assist tasks on DB2S DB instances
A simple understanding is that DAS enables remote DB2 clients to connect to the database server in a graphical manner.
The instance provides an independent database and a running environment for the program.
Linux: the instance name remains the same as one of the Linux user names. You need to add the appropriate user before creating the instance.

The basic steps for connecting to a remote database server are as follows.
The remote node is cataloged on the client computer. The remote database is cataloged on the client computer. Connect to the remote database.
1. First step: The remote node is cataloged on the client computer, where the user needs to confirm the name, IP address and port number of the remote host on the client.
The following basic commands are involved:
C:\Documents and SETTINGS\ADMINISTRATOR>DB2 Catalog tcpip node Serv remote 172.16.227.3 server 50000
2.TERMINATE----------------//Refresh directory Cache
3.LIST node Directory----------------//view Client directory nodes
2. Second step: Cataloging the Cataloged node database, where the user needs to confirm the remote connection database name, the database alias on the local computer, the first step to confirm the remote host on the client alias is the node name and set authentication mode.
The following commands are involved:
C:\Documents and SETTINGS\ADMINISTRATOR>DB2 Catalog db TESTDB2 as CC at node serv
2.TERMINATE--------//Refresh directory Cache
3.LIST DB Directory--------------//view Local database directories
3. Step Three:
Connect to the remote database, where the user uses the second step to confirm the connection to the database by using an alias on the local machine. The following commands are involved:
CONNECT to serv USER db2inst1 USING 123456
