css|frontpage| Web page
Note: The latest version of FrontPage is Frontpagexp (FrontPage 2003), this article is about Frontpage2000, but the method described in this article is basically applicable in Frontpagexp! Another, This is only discussed in Frontpage2000 how to define CSS, as for the knowledge of CSS, please refer to the relevant information.
When many people find it convenient to define CSS in DW4, they start complaining that FP2000 can't define CSS, or even criticize how bad FP2000 is. In fact, it's easy to define CSS in FP2000, even in some ways it's easier to define than DW4!
Define styles for HTML tags
Under Frontpage2000, select the menu "format/Style", pops up a window that defines the style, and in the CSS List drop-down menu (located at the bottom left), select all HTML tags, where most commonly used HTML tags appear in the left column, select one, and then click the bottom right of the "modify , a "Modify Style" window pops up, there is a "format" button at the bottom left of the window, and a Drop-down menu appears, with a total of five options:
Font: As the name suggests, this is where the font is defined.
Paragraph: Similar to "Font", click on the hint after the definition can be.
Borders: Defining borders and backgrounds, and so on, according to the hint definition. After entering, there are two tabs, border and shadow, defining a border in the border, and defining the foreground and background in shadow.
Numbering: There are three tabs, which are defined by literal meaning.
Positioning: This is the CSS positioning, but generally used in the specific page elements.
Is it not easy? Of course, define these you'd better have a certain CSS base, or you may not know what the definition is. But you just know some grammar rules can be, the rest let Frontpage2000 to do it!
There are two more special:
1, click the right mouse button anywhere in the Web page, select "Page Properties", the lower side of the property panel has a "style" button, where you can define the style of the body, so that the definition is in the form of inline, in fact, this is directly defined with the body is no difference, because a Web page has only one body.
2, still in the "Page Properties" panel, select the Background tab, there is a "Enable hyperlink rollover effect" in the upper-middle position, select the check box in front of it, and then click the "Flip Style" button below it to define some fonts, which in fact defines a:hover ( The style of the mouse county when it stops to the hyperlink.
Define class or ID
This is still in the menu "format/Style", select "User Defined Style" in the lower-right "list", at which point your previously defined tags appear in the list on the right. Let's start by defining a class (Pseudo Class), click on the "new" button at the bottom right, and enter a name in the top "name (selector)", such as ". Mycss", notice that there is a "." in front of it. Indicates that a class is defined (if the definition ID is preceded by "#"), but is not part of the name in the reference, only "." (or "#") after the name "!" Name!
After a good name, began to define the format, still point "format" button, the rest is the same as described above! Here is no longer to repeat. As for how to refer to the specific elements of a Web page we'll talk about it next.
To define inline styles
In most of the property panel on the lower side, there will be a Style button, click, you can define the inline CSS style. For example, first build a table, the table in a cell to click the left button, select "Cell Properties", in the property panel has a "Style" button, click on the bottom side has a "format" button, after the point in the definition of style can be! The author thinks: FRONTPAGE2000 provides this way to define the inline style is greatly convenient for our work, is a good feature.
Next we'll look at how to reference a class (or ID) that has already been defined. Still, for example, in the Cell Properties panel, click Style, in the upper-middle part of the style panel, on the left is the "class" Drop-down menu, where we can select the class we've defined. On the right is "id", but this is not a drop-down menu, but a single-line text box, we need to manually knock in the ID we have defined, pay attention not to take "#".
Here we are mainly for Frontpage2000 and CSS has a certain basis for friends to speak, so speak more rough, I hope that when reading can be combined with the use of Frontpage2000 to deepen understanding!
