As the saying goes, Windows Phone is like a Chinese football team. When everyone loses confidence in him, the soul and RP suddenly broke out, killing South Korea. Of course, just as the four-strong match in East Asia could not prove the problem, the dazzling Demos on MIX 2010 was just a glimpse of the cloud. The only thing that really tested its strength was the battlefield of the World Cup a few months later.
However, the Demos on MIX 2010 has indeed brought a glimmer of hope to the former Windows Mobile developers. In the past year, the world has been full of iPhones and Android. I don't want to talk about it. I really have nothing to say. MIX 2010 Keynote video:

You don't have to worry about it all over the world. It's just online installation, So comrades who are not busy with the network should be calm.
Windows Phone development tools can only be used with VS 2010 RC. I have installed Visual Studio 2010 Premium to correctly create a Windows Phone project.

After opening VS 2010, I felt a mixed sensation. Windows Phone provides two different development platforms: Silverlight for Windows Phone and XNA 4.0, C ++ and. NET Compact Framework is useless. Therefore, the previous Windows Mobile programmers had to go through a painful transformation process.
Next, let's take a look at the double surprise of Windows Phone!
Silverlight for Windows Phone
Silverlight for Windows Phone is almost a joke. Windows Mobile programmers complain that Silverlight on Symbian has come out. Where is Silverlight on Windows Mobile? This time, Silverlight for Windows Phone comes, and all applications on Windows Phone must be written using Silverlight.
Open VS 4.0 under XNA Game Studio 2010 in the program menu, create a new project, locate the three templates under Visual C #, and select "Windows Phone Application ".
I don't know what the Phone List Application is. It seems that the Windows Phone interface will be dominated by List. Click OK to go to The IDE's main interface:
Deja vu: on the left is the toolbar. You can drag the control to the uidesigner to correspond to the XAML interface. I dragged a Button and a TextBox. Double-click the Button to go to the code editor.
Namespace WindowsPhoneApplication1
{
Public partial class MainPage: PhoneApplicationPage
{
Public MainPage ()
{
InitializeComponent ();
SupportedOrientations = SupportedPageOrientation. Portrait | SupportedPageOrientation. Landscape;
}
Private void button#click (object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
MessageBox. Show ("Hello, Windows Phone," + textBox1.Text );
}
}
}
Forgive me for being creative. Hello World is an embodiment of the soul! It must be admitted that the designers of the Windows Phone development tool retain the traces of. net cf WinForm development with the utmost sincerity, at least making it difficult for us to use it.
After editing, press F5 to start Windows Phone Emulator. The whole process is not muddy. This is the best thing I feel. When I first configured the Android simulator, a lot of options made me really uncomfortable.
My program runs like this. After the MessageBox is popped up, a large Error title appears. It seems that MessageBox is mainly used to display errors in Windows Phone. The input method carries obvious iPhone traces, but the support for capacitive screens does not seem to be a problem.
I have not carefully looked at the implementation mechanism of Windows Phone Emulator, but from the perspective of startup speed, it is definitely not to put the entire Windows Phone in the simulator for execution. It turns out that the Windows Device Emulator's Samsung 2410-based slimming board cannot run. It is also the Managed Code. It is estimated that it is the JIT compilation set. Suddenly, it seems to have returned to the 2002 s of the Pocket PC.
New Windows Phone Interface
Now that we have installed Windows Phone Emulator, let's take a look at the new Windows Phone interface. Click the Back key on the left to disconnect the Debugger of the application. The Win Button in the center of the vertex will return to the main interface. However, there is only one IE icon on the main interface.
After a colleague saw it, he blurted out: "isn't this Zune ?" Hmm ......
The user experience of IE is very good. It was very smooth at the beginning, but it was not found in the address bar. Whether it's a smooth animation during page scaling or a design that switches to an appropriate size during input, it's quite easy. Especially the design of Multi-Tab is very comfortable. I tried Google Map and it showed everything was normal.
Oh, another point is that I can access the Internet without any configuration in Windows Phone Emulator.
X na 4.0
Mobile developers may not be familiar with the XNA name, but in the game development field, XNA on Xbox 360 is a big name. Now Windows Phone supports XNA 4.0. What is the difference between XNA 3.1 and Zune HD? Supports 3D games!
Currently, the XNA 4.0 preview only supports Windows Phone development and does not support game development for Windows and Xbox 360 (there is no Zune HD at all ...... Why ?).
Not that nonsense. Create a new project named XNA 4.0!
Select Windows Phone Game. There is no interface editor in the IDE environment, and programmers need to implement the UI through code. Here I will not write code. By default, the program runs as a blank form. Leave it empty. In the future, we will write a lot of things here ......
Conclusion
At noon, I tried the Windows Phone development tool and wrote this article in a hurry. We are most deeply impressed that we should not regard Windows Phone As a Windows Mobile upgrade. This is a brand new Mobile Phone operating system. Windows Phone features may not be as rich as Windows Mobile, But he won the applause, relying on only four words-user experience.
Phoenix Nirvana is still a long way to go for Windows Phone, but do we, the developers who closely follow us, want to feel a glimmer of hope for the future.
