File permissions modified to 777 text

When we are ready to execute the installation script, we need to modify some of the folder permissions, such as installation and upgrade discuz! You need to modify the file permissions for./attachments,./forumdata/*,./templates/*, other products, and many users don't quite understand how to modify it: Linux servers, Windows servers.

　　First, Linux servers (demo with a virtual host for example)

Simply modify the directory properties of the required file permissions to be 777, as follows:

Open the file on the virtual host with the FTP tool, select the folders and files you want to modify => right => properties

Change the number in the permission entry to "777" to be sure (if your account has permission to modify the file's properties)

Note: If some files require 777 permissions for their subfolders, then you also need to select Apply changes to all subfolders and files.

　The second type, Windows server

Windows Server only needs to give the appropriate file IIS Guest account read-write properties, note that the Windows Server must modify permissions on the server, Windows Virtual host users do not modify permissions, the following methods:

Select the folders and files you want to modify => right-=> Properties => Security

Click the "Add" button to get an interface as shown in the following illustration:

Click the "Advanced" button to get the interface shown in the following illustration:

Click the "Find Now" button to get an interface as shown in the following illustration:

Find the user who starts with "IUSR_" from "Search results" and click "OK" to get an interface as shown in the following figure:

Then click the OK button to get the interface shown in the following figure:
