Someone may encounter this problem when installing and using magento. They forgot the magento admin password and could not log on to the magento background. Most of my friends re-installed magento, Which is laborious and time-consuming. Here I will introduce you to a better method. You can reset your magento admin password without re-installing it. This avoids unnecessary troubles.
The password is encrypted by MD5.
You only need to encrypt the password you want to generate with the MD5 encryption tool, instead of the MD5 encryption password seen in phpadmin.
Here is a detailed solution:
1. Open phpMyAdmin in your local or spatial management background
2. Access your magento Database
3. Click the administrator user table admin_user of your magento database.
4. You will see a table. Find the row corresponding to your administrator username in the table and click the edit button you want to write.
5. Find the password field, change the string following the value to the password you want, select MD5 from the drop-down menu in the function, and click the execute button. Of course, you can replace it with the MD5 value of your known password. For example, if you use the admin123 password, its MD5 value is 0192023a7bbd73250516f069df18b500.
Use this to overwrite the MD5 value of your original password, and then click the execution button below.
After that, you can log on with your new password admin123.
