1. Preparations before installation:
Before installing the system, check the connections of the machine, connect the machine to the hub through the network cable, and ensure that all peripherals (such as tape drives and disk arrays) are powered on before starting the machine.
2. on the screen, you will see:
"Processor is booting from fist availiable Device
To discontinue. Press any keuy within 10 seconds"
Press any key within 10 seconds, and then a screen of 9 command sets will be displayed:

3. Put HP-UX11.0CoreOSInstall/update/recovery into a drive or DVD,
4. type the sea command and the system will query the physical path of the hardware device:
Main Menu: Enter command> sea

5. Confirm the path of the optical drive or DVD according to the 'device path such as 8/4. 5' and mark (d250) in the front door of the machine,
Assume it is P1 8/4. 9.
Enter the command Bo P1 and press Enter:
Main Menu: Enter command> Bo p1
6. The system will ask if interactive access is required. Enter N and press Enter.

7. Select the installation method as required:

Select [*] media only installation and [*] advanced installation. [*] is selected and OK.

Set the size of each file system as required to be consistent with the following table:

If the default values of different file systems on the screen are different from those of the user, you must modify them,
After each modification, confirm by the modify item to retain the settings.
After the settings are complete, go and proceed to the next step.
10. Then the system will prompt that the original data on the installed hard disk will be damaged. Select go and continue.
11. The installation of system files starts at this time. The screen displays,

The entire process includes the installation of 710 files, which takes a long time (about 2 hours). Please wait patiently. At last, the system automatically restarts twice, and a large OK message is displayed, prompting you that the installation is successful.
12. After the restart, the system requires that the network be configured.
Are you ready to link this system to a network?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter.
13. The system asked if DHCP was used:
Do you wish to use DHCP to obtain networking information?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type N and press Enter.
14. The system asked whether to continue the following host name. IP address. Time Configuration:
* Your system name (host name)
* Your Internet Protocol (ip0 address.
* Your Time Zone
Are you wish to continue (answering no will halt the system )?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter.
15. The following two lines are displayed on the next screen:
Enter the system name, then press [Return]. Just pressing [Return] will keep the (not recommended) Name "unhost": Root
Enter the system name you want at the cursor, such as root and press Enter.
Then the system will ask if it is correct:
You have chosen root as the name for this system.
Is this correct?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter.
16. The screen requires you to select your location:
1) North America or Hawaii
2) Central America
3) South America
4) Europe
5) Africa
6) Asia
7) Australia, New Zealand
Enter the number for your location (1-70then press [Return]
Type 6, select Asia, and press ENTER
17. Select the time as follows:
Select your time zone from the following list:
1) Western Russia 6) Phillipines, Hongkong, eastern China, Taiwan
2) India 7) Japan
3) Pakistan 8) Korea
9) Thailand 9) unlisted Time Zone
5) Singapore 10) Previous menu
Enter the nunber for your tiiiiiime zone (1-10), then press [Return]
Type 6 and press enter to continue
The system will ask if the selection is correct:
Is this correct?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter.
18. screen display:
The current system time is --------------
Is this correct?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Check whether the system time is correct. If you do not need to modify it, Type Y and press Enter.
19. The system asks if you want to set the root password:
Do you want to set the root password at this time?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter. The system prompts you to enter the new password. type the password and press enter to continue.
20. Enter the IP address required by the system:
Enter your IP address, then press [Return] or just press [Return] to select
Default address:
Enter the IP address and press Enter. The screen displays:
You have chosen ------ as the IP address for this system,
Is this correct?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
If the Entered IP address is correct, enter y and press enter to confirm.
21. screen display:
You may configure some additional network parameters at this time:
* Subnetwork mask and default gateway
* Domain Name System (DNS)
* Network Information Service (NIS)
Do want to configure these additional network parameters?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter.
22. Next, the system will ask if you want to set the subnet mask and Gateway:
* Subnetwork mask
* Default gateway IP Address
Do you wish to specify this information?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Type Y and press Enter.
23. The screen bottom line appears:
The subnetwork mask shown above is the system default value and possibly shocould be changed. Enter the new subnetwork mask, then press [Return] or just PRSs [Return] to use the default value above:
Enter the subnet mask you want and press Enter.
24. Then enter the gateway as required:
Enter the gateway IP address, then press [Return]
Enter the gateway and press Enter.
25. The system asked if the input was correct:
Are the parameters above correct?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for No. Or [c] to cancel, then press [Return]
OK. Enter Y. After you press enter, the system displays: Are you continue?
After confirming that you want to continue, press Enter.
26. The system asked if DNS settings were performed:
To configure DNS you will need to known:
* Local domain name
* DNS Server IP Address
Do you wish to specify this information?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no, then press [Return]
Enter N and press Enter.
27. The system asked whether to set NIS:
Do you wish to specify NIS client information?
Press [y] For yes or [N] for no. Then press [Return]
Enter N and press Enter.
28. Press [Return] to continue…… appears on the screen ...... Press enter to continue.
29. Press [Return] to continue ...... Press enter to continue
30. At this time, the screen displays the Process Detection Status, and the user can log on to the system. The installation is complete.
31. Go to Sam disks and file system fil system to check whether the file system size and other information are consistent with the requirements.

Ii. disk space allocation of auto raid
In l2000, autoraid has five 49,038 GB hard disks, with a free space of MB,
1. Enter Sam disk and file system disk device
Select HP auto-raid disk array Controller
Enter action disk array maitance bind Lun
The input size is xxxxmb.
2. Similarly, five Luns with a capacity of xxxxmb are created.
3. Delete the default Lun of 2048mb:
Action disk array maitance unbind Lun
2. Divide the remaining xxxxmb into one Lun.
3. select these 6 logical disks and create vg01 in action configure using logical volume manage.
4. Press vg01 to lvol01 ..... The order of lvol10... is to create n logical units with the size of xxxx.
7. Check whether your settings meet the requirements in Sam logical volume manage.
3. patch installation of HP-UX 11.0 system
1. Log On As root and put the support plus User's Guide on the CD
5. Create a directory: mkdir/CDROM
6. Use the ioscan-fncdisk command to view the path of the DVD or CD-ROM as cntndn
4. Run the Mount/dev/Dek/cntndn/CDROM command.
5. Use the LSF/CDROM command to browse the content on the CD. The xswhwcr1100 directory and xswgr1100 directory are the patch path.
6. First install the xswhwcr1100/
Command: swinstall-S/CDROM/xswhwcr1100/
7. Go to the SD install interface, select xswhwcr/, and select Manage... in the action option ...., Go to the manage patch selection interface, and set the two above to automatically .... Item, all selected as [X.
8. Select "OK" and select "yes" in the displayed Configuration box. The next search process for the target file may take several minutes.
9. Then, the screen displays only one row, which is the same as when you first enter SD istall.
Xswhwcr1100 /.............
Select installation in action, and a screen showing the installation progress as a percentage indicates that the installation is normal and takes about 10 minutes.
10. After installation, the system restarts automatically.
11. Install the xswgr/file in the same way.
