Import and export of SQL Server data

The Import and Export service for SQL Server 2008 enables data conversion for different types of database systems. To allow users to use the import and export service more intuitively, Microsoft provides the Import and Export Wizard. The Import and Export Wizard provides an easy way to replicate data from source to destination, transform data between multiple common data formats, and create target databases and insert tables.

You can copy or copy data from the following sources: SQL Server, text files, Access,

Excel, other OLE DB providers.

These data sources can be used as both a source and a target. You can also use the ADO access interface as a source.
