What's the Inode node?

Inode nodes are part of the file system, and the Inode node table contains only the attribute information of the file, so the design has many advantages,

For example, when we want to access a file, instead of searching the entire disk, we search for the index information in the Inode table, which holds the pointer information of the data (that is, the address block of the file) and is easy to manage.

A node (an index node) is a table item that holds metadata about the file, including:

File type, permissions, Uid,gid

Number of connections (the number of paths to the file name)

The size and timestamp of the file

Data block pointer to file on disk

Additional data about the file
