Issue: Oracle Database 10g is not certified in the current operating system

Install Oracle 10g in Windows 7. The Orcale version used is 10g.

Step 1:

Download on Orcale official website for: Http://download.oracle.com/otn/nt/oracle10g/10203/10203_vista_w2k8_x86_production_db.zip

Can be copied directly to the Thunderbolt download. Size is 778M.

Step 2:

Click Setup.exe installation, after the preceding judgment, if the following error message appears:

There are 1 errors, 1 warnings, and 2 requirements to verify the error issue details as follows: Checking operating system requirements ... Required result: One of the 5.0,5.1,5.2,6.0 actual results: 6.1 check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failure <<<< problem: Oracle Database 10g is not certified in the current operating system. Building a motion: Make sure the software is installed on the right platform.

Warning issue details are as follows: Checking network configuration requirements ... Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Failure <<<< problem: The installation detects that the primary IP address of the system is the DHCP-assigned address. Build motion: Oracle supports installation on systems with DHCP-assigned IP addresses. However, before you install, you must configure Microsoft LoopBack Adapter as your system's primary network adapter. For more information on installing software on a system configured with DHCP, see Installation Guide.

The details of the issue to be verified are as follows: Checking Service Pack requirements ... Check complete. The overall result of this check is: not implemented <<<< OUI-18001: OS ' Windows Vista version 6.1′ not supported. Motion: Please install the recommended Service Pack. 》

If the above information is present, then do the following;

1, the computer's IP address static state, do not move to obtain.

2. Oracle is not able to recognize Windows 7, only need to modify the Refhost.xml file, so that Oracle can recognize the type of the operating system. Click the Oracle installation file to find it directly, because Oracle may have multiple refhost.xml files, each of which needs to be modified. Then add the following code: <!–microsoft Windows 7–> Add Location reference Refhost.xml file for XP or Vista issues. After modifying all of the Refhost.xml files under Oracle, click Install. Bon voyage, there's no problem.
