1) Download apacheds address: http://directory.apache.org
2) to start the Apacheds service after the Apacheds installation is complete. The path is as follows: computer-? Management-? Services –? Apacheds
3) Install Apache directory Studio. (The software is a client-side tool for Apacheds.) Used to connect apacheds, search, update, delete, add data. )
4) Use Apache directory Studio to connect the apacheds steps as follows:
First step: Select the new connection option under the LDAP menu in the menu bar
Step Two: Enter the appropriate value in the following dialog: Apache LDAP default port number is 10389
Enter the connection name, the port number defaults to 10389 can not be changed, hostname select localhost, click on the check Network parameter test is successful, the test is displayed as follows:
Click Next
The third step: Enter the root DN and password to connect in the dialog box. After the apacheds installation is complete, several dit (directory information tree) has been created, and the first login to Apacheds will normally connect the DN password of the root node as follows: Secret.
Fourth step: After the connection is complete, such as: The Apahceds installation of the three directory information tree created by default is shown in the figure.
Fifth step: After the creation is complete, restart the Apache direcory Server service. See the results below in the Apache directory Studio view.
Sixth step: Add users under the following steps

To add UID user steps:
In the previous steps, just list the differences:
On the left, find the right few items to add in Click Next:
Drop-down list select UID, enter a value, click Next:
Cn,ou, SN value input Click Finish
This completes the LDAP installation configuration.
