Linux Install SSHFS mount remote directory to local and uninstall

There are many ways to mount a remote directory, so here's a SSHFS to record the memo. Linux mounts remote directory to local using SSHFS

　　Installing SSHFS

Under Ubuntu, you only need to use the

$ sudo apt-get install SSHFS

It's only 140kB.

　　Mount remote Directory to local

$ SSHFS [email protected]:p ath MountDir

For example

$ SSHFS [email protected]:/home/suzzz ~/tmp/

This will mount the remote directory/home/suzzz to the local ~/tmp.

　　Such mounts are also visible in the file manager.

This directory can now be accessed from the terminal or graphical interface.

　　Unloading

Fusermount-u MountDir
