Ignore Apple's official website warning, the Apple official website warns you can only use Bootcamp installs and cannot be many partitions, the person is frightened not lightly. In fact, do not worry too much, it is a common computer, even though it is a Mac.

As my personal experience tells you, dual-system multi-partition is good to install, and no data loss, OS X and Windows can be upgraded normally.

My specific steps are as follows:

1. Partition and install for Windows

Using OS X bootcamp to partition and install Windows partitions, the size of Windows depends on the size of your hard disk, and in 500g, for example, I allocate 128g;

2. Assigning size to OS X

After installing Windows Restart to OS X, using the disk partitioning tool multi-partition, the total size of the hard disk 500g for example, I also reserved for OS X 128g;

3. Partitioning the data disk

And then divides the remaining space into one as a working partition, one as an entertainment partition, and a temporary format of exfat;

4. Format the data partition as NTFS

Back to Windows, format the two data partitions in the previous step as NTFS. The method is simple, right-click on the partition and select format in the right-click menu.

This is how I installed the dual system multi-partition, without any impact. Both Windows and OS X can update the upgrade. I have successfully upgraded OSX Yosemite to OSX ei capitan. Windows can also install updates properly.

Several questions:

1 . Why format to NTFS?

Although exFAT supports both write and read for Windwos and OSX. However, there will be a fatal problem when OSX writes data to a partition other than OSX, which may cause Windows to fail to start, for unknown reasons, as I told you in my own lesson.

And exFAT does not support log write, which does not support data recovery, in case the computer mistakenly delete data or accidental loss of data can not be restored.

Therefore, it is recommended that you format the data partition as NTFS.

OSX Yosemite started, the OSX disk tool does not support formatting partitions as NTFS. So, I'm using Windows to format the data partition.

Many people, including Apple, have warned that careful use of the formatting features of Windows format partition, in my experience to tell you that there is no problem and bad effect, it is a solid-state drive only. Windows is a piece of cake for formatting a partition, so you don't have to worry about losing data.

2 . Must be partitioned and formatted as NTFS?

Focus on the people used by WINDWOS, and strongly recommend multiple partitioning and formatting to NTFS.

The people who focus on OSX are advised to install the dual system using Bootcamp and allocate a small amount of space for the Windows partition (this can be allocated according to their needs) in accordance with Apple's official plan.

3 . How to reload Windows?
