There are 3 key points to creating configurable product first:

1. There must be a global attribute in the attribute set, that is, the scope of the property is global.

3. Use the to Create configurable product of the property to select Yes.

The following is an example of creating a configurable product that has a Cm_color attribute. There are bule, red, yellow. Prices are 10, 20, 30, respectively.

To create a configurable product property

From the navigation into the Catalog->attributes->manage Attributes, in the Properties tab:

Switch to manage Label/options, add this property to display different title in different language store, here just fill in the admin section.

Add 3 options to the attribute, Bule, Red, Yellow, and then save Attribute.

To add a property to a property set

From the navigation into the Catalog->attributes->manage Attributes sets, select the default property set.

Drag the Cm_color property from the right unassigned Attribute to the groups's general group on the left, and save Attribute set after completion.

Create Configurable Product

From the navigation into the Catalog->manage products, click Add Product. Attribute Set Select default,product Type Select Configurable Product and click Continue.

Select the Cm_color with global properties and click Continue.

Add the basic properties of configurable product, Name,description,short Description,sku,status,visibility,price and other basic properties, click Save and Continue Edit.

Switch to the associated Products tab, focusing on the red line part of Quick simple Product Creation.

Create a color for bule products, color Select Bule,price Select 10,fixed is direct pricing, percentage is the percentage, the price is at the price of the original prices increase. Visibility it is best to choose not to display not visible individually.

Click Quick Create to see the automatically created simple product in the Super product Attribute configuration below and automatically bind to the color's bule option.

Also create a color for red, and yellow products.

At this point, 3 simple product has been created and has been bound to the corresponding property. Select Save and Continue Edit.
