Source: Internet
Author: User

1. prototype of the string-type member function c_str:

Const char * c_str () const; // returns a null-terminated C string.

2. the c_str () function returns a pointer to a regular C string. The content is the same as the object of the string class () the function can convert a String object to a string style in C;

3. when you operate the return value of the c_str () function, you can only use the C string operation function, such as strcpy. because the string object may be released by the Destructor after use, the content you point to is uncertain.

Eg:

Char * name [20];

String PTR = "tongnono ";

Strcpy (name, PTR. c_str (); // c_str () returns a temporary pointer variable and cannot be operated on.
