1. Concept of storage engine

The storage engine (the storage engine can also be a table type) is actually how to store data, how to index and update stored data, and how to query data. Data in mysql is stored in files (or memory) using different technologies. Each of these technologies uses different storage mechanisms, indexing techniques, locking levels, and ultimately providing a wide range of different functions and capabilities, these different technologies and related functions are called storage engines in myql. You can select a storage engine for servers, databases, and tables.
