You can assign a value to the activity property by displaying the "property value" feature page of the activity node in the "process" window.
Alert (warning)
A mechanism for checking specific database exceptions. Warning is expressed by the SQL SELECT statement it contains. The SQL SELECT statement tells the application product which database exceptions should be identified and which outputs should be generated for the exceptions.
Alert Action (alert activity)
Activities that you need to perform with an alert. The alert activity depends on the alert output. An activity may include sending an email message to the mail ID, running the Oracle Applications Program, running the program or script program in the operating system, or running the SQL script program to modify information in the database. An alert can have multiple activities, and the alert output can be included.

Autoskip (automatically skipped)
A specific feature of the elastic domain. when you enter a valid value in the current elastic domain segment, Oracle Applications automatically move the cursor to the next segment. You can enable or disable this function by using the "elastic domain: automatically skip" option of the user configuration file.
B
Background engines (background engine)
Auxiliary workflow engine that processes delayed or time-out activities.
Balancing segment (balance segment)
An elastic domain segment of an accounting subject that you define to enable Oracle general ledger to automatically balance each value of this segment with all the journal entries. Once a request is submitted, Oracle Applications will automatically work for you to complete your request without further intervention or interruption.
Cost (overhead)
You can assign a relative value to a function or notification activity, which notifies the workflow engine of the amount of work required to complete the activity. Complex activities with long running time can allocate high overhead. You can set the workflow engine to run with a critical overhead value. Any activity with an overhead value higher than the critical overhead of the workflow engine will be set to 'referred' without being processed. The backend engine can be set to poll and process delayed activities.
