Problem Description :

There are customer issues that reflect the following:

In an Exchange 2013 environment, two front ends, two back ends, the client Outlook failed to retrieve calendar free busy information yesterday.

But OWA can.


Analysis and Resolution methods:


1, need to judge now is only one user has this problem or all users have this problem. If this problem only occurs for individual users, we first troubleshoot the user 's Outlook client:

2. Configure the problematic user's mailbox on a computer that does not have the problem, and check to see if the problem persists. If there are no problems on other computers, you can know that the problem may be caused by the configuration or software on your computer.

3.  open Outlook  Safe Mode

    • press Windows + R

    • input Outlook/safe ( Outlook Leave a space behind ) OK

If the problem does not occur in Safe mode, you know that the problem is caused by some add-ons. We can disable all add-ons and then turn on one by one to find the add-in that caused the problem.

4, if all users have encountered this problem, the first suspicion is a server-level problem. on OWA, the EWS service should be working correctly, and for the Outlook side, e-mail autoconfiguration should be tested:

test e-mail autoconfiguration  –< test on the client in the domain;

a.  outlook  outlook  ctrl  Outlook in the notification area  

B. verify that the correct e-mail address is already in the box next to e-mail address.

C. Clear the check box next to "use Guessmart" and "protect Guessmart authentication."

D. On the test e-mail autoconfiguration page, verify that the check box next to use Autodiscover is selected, and then click the Test button.

1. Check that the Autodiscover service is working correctly

2. check that the URL for the EWS service you obtained is correct
