Outlook: how to delete an account after it is configured to exchange by mistake

This is what I forwarded. I encountered this problem and solved it smoothly according to the following methods.

------------------------------------
Outlook is a waste in account management.

Cause: Configure Outlook to receive emails from the company's mailbox. I heard that the company's mail server uses exchange, so after opening outlook for the first time, I chose exchange directly by default, the tragedy started from now on. Every time you open outlook, you will report an error that cannot be connected or the configuration file is wrong. Then, you will close outlook and you will not be able to delete this error in the control panel email, after you manually delete the configuration file, the configuration file is automatically generated when Outlook is run, and an error is reported, Nima.

After several searches, I finally found a solution. After my practice, I solved my problem. The method is as follows:

1. Close outlook and delete the entries in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Windows messaging subsystem \ profiles \ Outlook

We recommend that you export the backup before deleting it, so that you can restore it to its original state in case of any problems.
(Note: how to enter the Registry in win7: Windows icon key (that is, the Windows flag next to alt) + r key ---- enter "Regedit" --- press Enter)

2. delete folders related to outlook and office:

In XP and win7, the directory name changes slightly, but the effect is not big,

Delete the following folders in XP:

C: \ Documents ents and Settings \ login name \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Outlook

C: \ Documents ents and Settings \ login name \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Office

C: \ Documents ents and Settings \ login name \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Outlook

C: \ Documents ents and Settings \ login name \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Office

Delete the following folders in win7:

C: \ Users \ login name \ appdata \ Local \ Microsoft \ Outlook

C: \ Users \ login name \ appdata \ Local \ Microsoft \ Office

C: \ Users \ login name \ appdata \ roaming \ Microsoft \ Outlook

C: \ Users \ login name \ appdata \ roaming \ Microsoft \ Office
(Note: how to enter appdata in win7: Enter % appdata % in the address bar of the folder and press enter to locate the appdata directory)

After completing the preceding steps, you can enable outlook again to configure the mailbox.
