Php-CGI process deadlock caused by third-party extension timeout

It's not "zombie", it's not "Sleep", it's like "hanging", but it's not kill, it's only-9 to kill ...... It is more appropriate to use "deadlocks" to describe them.

The reason is that the gearman extension is used. php does not manually set the timeout time for calling worker as the client. After an inaccessible address is called, the PHP-CGI process will be used for an indefinite period of time, this results in process depletion (not resource depletion ).

Solution: Set a timeout value.

Gearmanclient: setTimeout this method can set the time-out time in milliseconds (er ...... The error message returned when the request has timed out ~).

BTW: Why does PHP's timeout not work ??
