Preparestatement (string SQL, int autogeneratedkeys)

In this method, the autogeneratedkeys has two values: statement. return_generated_keys/statement. no_generated_keys.

The first one means binding with the database's primary key value, which can be obtained during use. This will be described in the following example;

The second one is not bound to the primary key value generated by the database.

Example:

Connection conn = dB. getconnection (); // getconnection () is a database connection method in the DB class.

Preparedstatement pstmt = NULL;

String SQL = "-----";

Pstmt = conn. preparestatement (SQL, statement. return_generated_keys );

Resultset rskey = pstmt. getgeneratedkeys ();

Rskey. Next ();

Int rootid = rskey. getint (1 );

Pstmt.exe cuteupdate ();
