SVN Password storage location

Linux system, Subversion command-line client, version 1.6.11:
~/.subversion/auth/svn.simple/

Windows system, TORTOISESVN 1.6.8:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\subversion\auth\svn.simple

What needs to be stated is:
Typically, the TortoiseSVN svn password in a Windows system is saved with encryption.
The SVN password for the Subversion client in the Linux system is usually saved in plaintext. So the security of the SVN password in the Linux system is dependent on the account security.

The classic topic:
The security of the Windows system is protected by files, folders, and the security of the Linux system is protected in the account. As a result, accounts in a Linux system cannot be "loaned" to others as casually as Windows systems.

Use the following method in Linux to encrypt the password for the SVN account:
1. Install collabnet Subversion Client

(1)
Copy the collabnetsubversion-client-1.6.9-1.i386.rpm to the machine.

To give the RPM file the right to install:
# chmod 777 collabnetsubversion-client-1.6.9-1.i386.rpm
and ensure that the current account has the right to install RPM software.

Install the RPM software:
# RPM-IVH collabnetsubversion-client-1.6.9-1.i386.rpm

(4)
To back up the original SVN (1.6.11) Name:
# Mv/usr/bin/svn/usr/bin/svn_1_6_11

Set up a shortcut for the newly installed SVN, which is set as the default SVN:
# ln-s/OPT/COLLABNET_SUBVERSION/BIN/SVN/USR/BIN/SVN
2. Configure CollabNet Subversion Client

For each account that uses SVN, configure the following:

Delete all old svn password records for the current account:
$ RM ~/.subversion/auth/svn.simple/*

(2)
Modify the configuration file to ensure that the options in the configuration file "~/.subversion/config" are operational:
Password-stores = gnome-keyring

(3)
Modify the configuration file to ensure that the options in the configuration file "~/.subversion/servers" are operational:
[Global]
Store-passwords = yes
Store-plaintext-passwords = No

Execute the following statement to open the Gnome keyring:
$ Export ' Gnome-keyring-daemon '
Description
To automatically open Gnome keyring for each entry account, you can add an Autorun script to the configuration file:
$ VI ~/.bash_profile
Export ' Gnome-keyring-daemon '

Create a "SVN" account with a password of "123":
$/opt/collabnet_subversion/bin/keyring_tool-c SVN
Enter password for ' svn ' keyring:
Created ' svn ' keyring.

Set "SVN" as the default account for GNOME Keyring:
$/opt/collabnet_subversion/bin/keyring_tool-s SVN
Set ' svn ' keyring as default.

Set up svn password:
$ svn up

You need to enter the GNOME keyring password "123" Every time you use SSH to access the account of the server system for file updates:
$ svn up
