Ubuntu FTP Server Setup

1. Before installing the browser access FTP://IP to see if there is an FTP service

2. If unable to access: Execute command sudo apt-get installvsftpd

3. After successful installation, the browser access ftp://ip/can see the empty directory, indicating that the installation was successful.

4. Run sudo service vsftpd stop, start, restart to turn on, end, and restart the FTP service.

5. New FTP allows anonymous users to log on

6. Edit the FTP configuration file, sudo vi/etc/vsftpd.conf

Allow anonymous user access and restrict the directory of anonymous users to/mnt/parastor/home/ftp

Anonymous_enable=yes

Anon_root=/mnt/parastor/home/ftp

Here specifically,/mnt/parastor/home/ftp, sudo chmod-r 755/mnt/parastor/home/ftp, where this directory subordinate directory can be 777, such as download

Local users are able to access and have write permissions
