Umask () functions and examples

Definition and usage
The umask () function of to change the file permission.

This function sets the PHP umask to mask and 0777 and return the old umask. However, if the umask () you call has no reason, it returns the current umask.

Syntax

Umask (mask)

  

   Parameter description
   
Mask optional. Specify new permissions. The default value is 0777.
   
The mode parameter consists of four numbers:
   

   
The first number is always zero.
   
The second number specifies the master of the permission.
   
Third, user groups of permission owners
   
Fourth, set permissions for others
   
Possible values (add the following number when setting multiple permissions ):
   

   
1 = execution permission
   
2 = write permission
   
4 = read permission
