Upload and download files based on sftp

1. What is sftp?

Sftp is short for Secure File Transfer Protocol and is a Secure File Transfer Protocol. It provides a secure encryption method for transferring files. It is mainly used to upload and download files in Linux, without additional software or tools.
 

2. How to enable sftp?

In Linux, enter sftp username @ remote ip (or remote host name) in the terminal ). When verification occurs, you only need to enter the correct password to implement remote connection. After successful login, the terminal displays: sftp> ....

Sftp logon on an informal port (port 22 is required): sftp-o port = 1000 username @ remote ip.

3. How to upload and download?

Upload: put/path/filename (local host)/path/filename (remote host );

Download: get/path/filename (remote host)/path/filename (local host ).

In windows, you can use Core FTP, FileZilla, WinSCP, and Xftp to connect to SFTP for uploading, downloading, creating, and deleting directories.
