Use ping command to quickly detect network faults

The application of the network has gradually penetrated into our work and life, which has brought us convenience in all aspects. Therefore, this kind of convenience causes many people to depend on the network. So how can we accurately determine where the computer problem is when the computer cannot access the Internet? How can this fault be solved quickly? I hope some tips below will help you.

In fact, computers cannot access the Internet for the following reasons: system IP settings, Nic, modem, and line faults. To eliminate hardware and line faults, we can use the ping command to quickly detect network conditions. First, click "run" in "start" in the system, and enter the CMD command in the running column. The DOS window in the operating system will pop up (figure 1 ), here we can enter various doscommands intuitively and conveniently.

Figure 1

Then, we can enter Ping 127.0.0.1 in DOS. This address is a local loop address. If this address cannot be pinged, it indicates that the TCP/IP protocol of the local machine cannot work normally or the network card is damaged.

Figure 2

If the above Ping is successful, we can enter the "ipconfig" command to view the local IP address, and then ping the IP address (192.168.12.114). The general rule indicates the network adapter (NIC or modem) the network adapter is faulty.

Figure 3

Ping the IP address of a computer in the same network segment. Otherwise, the network line is faulty. If the network also contains a router, ping the IP address of the router in this network segment, general rules: This section of the line has a problem. General rules then ping the port IP address of the router in the network segment of the target computer. General rules do not cause a route fault. General rules then ping the IP address of the target computer.

Finally, check a network with DNS service. If the IP address of the target computer is still unable to connect to the machine after the IP address of the target computer is pinged in the previous step, you can ping the Network Name of the machine, such as ping jqcp.com, under normal circumstances, the IP address pointed to by the website will appear, which indicates that the local DNS settings are correct and the DNS server works normally. Otherwise, it may be one of the failures; you can also ping the computer name to detect the failure of wins resolution (wins is a service that resolves the computer name to the IP address ).

after the above four steps are completed, we can easily determine whether a fault occurs in a specific link. We should reset the settings and change the hardware. In addition, if you want to check the network connection, you can add-T to the ping address to continuously ping the connection, it indicates whether the network connection is interrupted or packet loss. In addition to the ping command, there are still a lot of small software that can detect network connections and bandwidth of broadband lines.
