Pre-preparation

Through the MV Effect chart, you can see two features: singers singing in the black background, scattered reflection effect according to a certain regularity of arrangement, so that the face can still be identified. Both of these features are not very noticeable, but they are crucial to the effect of the picture.

Step 1

It is important to choose the right raw material. The author chooses the similar black background muscle male with the MV effect, in order to imitate the MV effect as far as possible. Click here to download, or other similar material can be.

Step 2

Open Photoshop, place the footage in, and then select the cropping tool to crop the material, leaving only the head and neck. This preserves more horizontal space, is necessary for the design composition and is consistent with the widescreen display in the MV.

Step 3

Select Layer > New > through Copy Layer (CTRL+J) to copy the background layer to the new layer.

Step 4

Select Layer > New > New Layer (shife+ctrl+n), named Black, to place the new layer between the background layer and the duplicate layer.
