In the past, a friend's company had a small website that was stored in a space without money, which was a little slow. If you think it is not cost-effective and the resources on the Forum are limited, the whole host will be ready. Looking at host vendors in China, the price is indeed unfair. If it is a virtual host, once a website has problems, the whole website will suffer. If it is a VPs, there is a danger of disconnection. If there is a problem with a VPs, the whole host will be disconnected. Forget it. I helped a company select a virtual host. The access speed of the virtual host on www.net.cn for more than 3000 yuan a year is quite good in IE, Firefox, and safari, it is in chrome that sometimes cannot be opened. I don't know why. It is reasonable to say that both chrome and Safari have the same kernel. It male has a characteristic, that is, they love tossing, so I will talk about the entire linode VPs. The key is that I still need to install a lot of messy applications, and the virtual host is probably not good. The domestic VPs is too expensive. A small company buys the cheapest linode solution, which costs less than that. If it costs 19.9 yuan a month, buy one month first and try again. Of course, you have to decide which data center to store your VPS in linode. In this case, linode provides some file downloading speeds for testing.

Centos + nginx is installed first, which is the most efficient combination. After the result is completed, it is found that nginx has poor support for. htaccess. If you forget it, I should go back to the old path of lamp. This time, I saved my snacks. I didn't install them one by one. I found the lamp solution that linode has already configured. Unfortunately, it's Ubuntu server, and it doesn't matter. It's all the same. A few minutes later, the lamp server was started. The download speed is very fast in China. I can use 1 Mbps of ADSL bandwidth to reach more than kb, 2 Mbps of ADSL can reach more than kb, and I have not tried it yet. This is the access speed in Shanghai. tracert looked at the host from home to linode. After 13 routes, ping the host from home to hichina for 170 Ms, after 14 routes, Ping 125 Ms.

And then move the previous items. It is really easy to find a solution for website migration. At first, I wanted to upload the file over FTP, but there were too many files on the joomla site. FTP has 6 threads and more than 2000 files in half an hour, and there are still 3000 files. I don't know what I put before. FTP continues first. I want to find another method. First, pack the package on the old site. Of course, PHP can do this. Then back up the MySQL database. Then SSH to the VPs, The wget command is really convenient, and the transmission between the host and the host is really fast. It will be done in minutes, and half of the FTP will be stopped. Next, extract the host file and reply to the database file. Visit the website and fix some minor issues, such as database link words and file paths. The new website can be accessed.

Next, it's the DNS's turn. I went to name.com to modify the DNS server. This was not the case. I don't know whether to make name.com better resolve the DNS or let linode better resolve the DNS, finally, let linode parse it. Although name.com should be stable, the linode interface is easy to use. Then set the cname and MX record of the email server. Because another domain name mailbox service is used, the mail should be quickly and seamlessly transferred now.

The main site uses joomla, and then uses jfusion to unify phpBB and Wordpress accounts. Jfusion Wiki has instructions on the use of WordPress plug-ins. However, jfusion didn't release the WordPress plug-in at the time, but the Open Source jfusion is really good, go to code.google.com and sync the Code directly. When I wrote this record, the new version of jfusion has been release, including the WordPress plug-in, alas. However, there has been a problem with the Sync account to WordPress, and the Chinese account cannot be automatically synchronized. It is okay to synchronize phpBB without reading the Code. There are still many things to do.

Then select the project management system, and finally use redmine, which is quite useful. The Ruby on Rails application and interface are also easy to use and well written. In case of any requirement, you can also use the extension.
