Windows 7 has several improvements to improve the fundamentals (performance, reliability, security, and compatibility), as well as to make it faster and easier to access information on your PC:

1, the data encryption extended to removable media. News reports about the loss of sensitive corporate information are commonplace. In some industries, this is a matter of great legal significance, although in other cases the problem is simply inconvenience. In any case, intelligent compatibility policies indicate that sensitive information should be protected when a laptop computer is lost or stolen. Also, preventing sensitive information from being removed from enterprise resources is a pillar of effective compliance management. Windows 7 contains BitLocker (TM) technology, which is implemented for the first time in Windows Vista and now provides full encryption of all boot volumes on the PC; Windows 7 also introduced Bitlockerto Go,bitlocker to go for data protection for portable storage such as USB flash drives. In addition, BitLocker Drive Encryption and BitLocker to go can be managed through Group Policy to provide more control over sensitive information in the hands of professionals.

2, the use of powerful scripting features, automated routine tasks. To help IT administrators better maintain a consistent environment and improve personal productivity, Windows7 includes an updated graphical script editor, Windowspowershell (TM) 2.0, a powerful and sophisticated scripting language that supports branching, looping, running, debugging, Exception handling and internationalization.

PowerShell2.0 has an intuitive graphical user interface that helps make scripts more easily available, especially for administrators who don't like command-line environments.

POWERSHELL2.0 supports two types of remoting: Fan-out (which passes management scripts on a one-to-many basis) and one-to-one interactive remoting (to support troubleshooting specific computers). You can also use the PowerShell restricted Shell to limit command and command parameters to system administrators and limit the script to those users who have been granted permission.

By using the PowerShell 2.0 and Group Policy Management Console (which can be downloaded separately), IT professionals can use scripts to manage Group Policy objects and create or edit Group Policy settings based on the registry in Windows 7. Similarly, you can use PowerShell to configure your PC more efficiently, thereby using richer logon, logoff, startup, and shutdown scripts performed through Group Policy.

3. Create, deploy, and manage images more effectively. Windows7 contains several tools to simplify the creation and processing of deployment images and to enable users to start and run as quickly as possible.

The Deployment Image Service and Management (DISM) tool in Windows 7 provides a central location for offline building and processing of Windows images. With DISM, you can use a tool to perform many functions: mount and unload system images, add, remove, and enumerate packages and drivers, enable or disable Windows features, configure international settings, and maintain an offline image library that contains drivers, package features, and software updates. Windows 7 also supports the same processes and tools that are used when managing virtual machines (VHD) and native-based file (WIM) image files.

Windows 7 also contains dynamic driver settings, where the device driver is stored independently of the deployed image, and can be dynamically rejected based on the hardware's Plug and Play ID, or based on the information contained in the basic input/output system (BIOS) as a predetermined set. Reducing the number of drivers on a separate computer reduces the number of potential conflicts, ultimately minimizing setup time and improving PC reliability.

If you are ready to deploy WINDOWS7, multicast streaming enables the server to "broadcast" image data to multiple clients at the same time, and combine clients with similar bandwidth capacity into network streams to allow the fastest possible total transfer rate while optimizing bandwidth utilization.

4, the client virtualization to provide better support. When users connect to a virtual machine, Windows 7 offers a richer experience that is quite close to the experience provided by the native Windows desktop. For example, Windows 7 provides multiple-monitor support, bidirectional audio for IP telephony (VoIP) and speech recognition applications, and access to local devices such as printers.

5, to provide enhanced troubleshooting tools. Windows 7 provides a wealth of tools that often end users can use to identify and resolve technical problems themselves. If calling a technical support call is unavoidable, Windows 7 includes several features and troubleshooting tools to help expedite the resolution of the problem.

The problem step logger enables end users to regenerate and record their experience of an application failure, logging each step as a screenshot and accompanying log and software configuration data. A compressed file is then created that can be forwarded to the support staff to help resolve the problem.

Windows 7 contains a set of troubleshooting packages, a collection of PowerShell scripts, and related information that IT professionals can execute remotely from the command line and control on an enterprise basis through Group Policy settings.

Windows 7 also includes a unified track to help identify and resolve network connectivity issues in a single tool. The unified tracking of all tiers across the network stack collects event logs and captures packets, providing an integrated view in which events occur on the Windows 7 network stack and help analyze and resolve problems.

Extend the search scope for desktop search. Search in Windows 7 provides new support for searching beyond the user's PC, including network document repositories, search engines, Web applications, and dedicated data stores, all from within a familiar Windows interface. IT professionals can publish important search locations through Group Policy and can deploy up to five search scopes on users ' PCs to help them find the information they need more easily. In addition, Windows 7 Desktop Search also supports the common OpenSearch standard, which allows WEB developers to quickly return results to Windows7 with the existing investments in the RSS list with a small number of minor updates.
