/Cmdcons

The Recovery Console is a command line interface that can be used to execute tasks such as activating and stopping services and accessing local drives (including NTFS drives. You can use the/javascons option only after the general installation is complete.

/Copydir: i386 older_name

Create another binder in the binder for installing the Windows XP file. The name of the binder is the one you created to save the changes made to the site. For example, you can create a binder named private_drivers in the i386 source binder of the installer to store driver files. Then, you can type/copydir: iw.private_drivers to have the installer copy the binder to the newly installed calculator, and create a new binder location systemrootprivate_drivers. You can also use the/copydir command to create any number of other binder.

/Copysource: folder_name

Create a temporary binder in the binder where the Windows XP file is installed. The name of the binder is the one you created to save the changes made to the site. For example, you can create a binder named private_drivers In the installer's source binder to store driver files. Then, you can type/copysource: private_drivers so that the installer can copy the binder to the latest installed calculator and use its file during installation to create a temporary binder location systemrootprivate_drivers. You can also use the/copysource command to create any number of other binder. Unlike the binder created by/copydir, the binder created by/copysource is deleted after the installation is complete.

/Debug [level]: [filename]

/Dushare: pathname

Share the directory of the "Dynamic Update" file downloaded from the Windows Update Website (updated files are used during installation. When/duprepare is run and used from the installation share, this option will be used for preparation, so that updated files can be used in Network-Based Client installation. If/duprepare is not used and runs on the client, the update file located in the shared location specified by pathname is used for client installation.

/Duprepare

Prepare for installation and sharing so that the "Dynamic Update" file downloaded from the Windows Update Website can be used. This sharing can then be used for Windows XP installation on multiple clients. It can only be used with/dushare.

/M: folder_name

Specify the installer to copy the replacement file from the standby location. Guide "Installer" to check in the standby location first. If files are displayed, use these files instead of the files in the default location.

/Makelocalsource

Indicates that the installer copies all the installation source files to the local hard disk. When you use a slave disc for installation, use/makelocalsource to provide the installation file for the calculator without a CD later.

/Noreboot

Instruct the installer not to reactivate the calculator after the file copy phase ends, so that you can execute another command.

/S: sourcepath

Specifies the source location of the Windows XP file. To copy files from multiple servers at the same time, type the/S: sourcepath option multiple times (up to eight times ). If you enter the option multiple times, the specified first server must be available; otherwise, the "Installer" fails.

/Syspart: drive_letter

It indicates that you can copy the installation activation file to a hard disk, mark the hard disk as active, and then install the disk on another calculator. When this calculator is activated, it automatically activates the next phase of installation. However, you must always use the/tempdrive parameter and/syspart parameter at the same time. On a calculator running Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP, you can use the/syspart option to activate winnt32. This option is not available for calculators running Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME.

/Tempdrive: drive_letter

Guides the installer to place temporary files in specified sections. For completely new installation, you can install Windows XP in the specified partition. For upgrade and installation, the/tempdrive option only affects the location of temporary files, while the OS upgrade is performed in the partitions running winnt32.

/UDF: Id [, udb_file]

Specifies how the installer specifies the identifier (ID) of the response file to be modified in the "unique database" (UDB) file (see/unattend ). The UDF overwrites some values in the response file, and the identifier determines which values in the UDF are used. For example,/UDF: ras_user and our_company.udb will overwrite some settings specified for the ras_user identifier in the our_company.udb file. If the udf_file is not specified, the installer prompts you to insert a disk containing the unique. UDB file.

/Unattend

Upgrade Windows 98 or earlier Windows me in unattended installation mode. Because all user settings can be obtained from the previous installation, no user intervention is required during the installation process.

/Unattend [num]: [answer_file]

Num is the number of seconds between copying these files and reactivate the calculator after the installation ends. You can use the num option on any calculator that runs Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. If you use the/unattend command line option to automatically complete the installation, you have read and accepted the Microsoft License Agreement for Windows XP. Before you use this command line option to install Windows XP on behalf of an organization, you must confirm the end user (individual or individual entity) you have accepted, read, and accepted the terms of the Microsoft License Agreement for Windows XP. The OEM may not specify this value on the machine sold to the end user.
