Install IIS 5.1

1. Download IIS 5.1 (WinXP SP3 IIS 5.1)

4. Pop-up "Required files", click "Browse"

6. Then click "OK" and the installation will begin.

Note: During the installation process, you may also pop up several times similar to the above "Required files" dialog box, all through the "browse" to open just the folder (here for the D disk under the win XP IIS5.1)

Configuring IIS

1. Open "Control Panel"-> "Administrative Tools", double-click to open Internet information services

2. Expand the computer-> Web site-> The default Web site, right-click on the default Web site, and view properties.

Switch to home directory, check the following figure, and set "Execute Permissions" to "Scripts and executables" and click "Apply"

Switch to "document" Here you can add a default document, such as I add index.asp here, can also move up and down the order, according to your needs set.

Switch to "directory security" click "Edit", check "Allow IIS to control password", OK

3. On the "Default Web site" right click "Browse"

Install Web site Programs

1. Copy your website program to the "Wwwroot" folder, you can delete other files under the folder, the source of the program to the root directory, you can also build a folder containing your program source files, such as here I set up a blog folder, which is the Z-blog installation files

Tip: At this point, the "Wwwroot" folder corresponds to the address http://localhost/ or http://127.0.0.1/

2. Visit Http://localhost/blog/install.asp (This is the Zblog installation file path, you have to according to your actual situation access), you can start installation program, if everything is smooth, that means no problem.

You should know that in a Windows system, NTFS-formatted partitions are more secure because the associated permissions are set. Check the format of the partition where your site Wwwroot folder is located, and if it is in NTFS format, give the user the appropriate permission to "IUSR_ computer name."
