Zend Framework 1.0 Official edition to be released soon

In Monday, Zend Technology will provide PHP's Web application Development with a 1.0 version of its development architecture, which has attracted more than 1 million downloads in pre-release form.

The Zend Framework 1.0 will not be the only PHP development framework around because it will be shared with frameworks like cake and Prado. But Zend said the Zend development framework was the first to gain support and contributions from big companies and big companies like IBM and Google.

"It's an application framework for building efficient Web applications and Web services using PHP," said Andi Gutmans, CTO and co-founder of Zend Corporation. ”

For functions like authentication, access control, filtering, and session management, architectural guidelines, best practices, and reusable components are their main features. Zend Company provides its free open source framework, but sells ancillary support services.

It also has some features that support Web service protocols such as RSS, Atom, and rest. Google provides Google Data APIs that enable Zend users to access Google Apps, like its calculators and watchmaking software. For example, Gutmans says these apps might be included in a mashup.

IBM has contributed to framework encapsulation, such as Ajax and search technology. IBM has already used this framework as the basis for Qedwiki projects that integrate Web2.0 applications, Zend said.

Some Strikeiron Web services are also reflected in this framework.

A port on the Lucene Java Search home page is also included, which makes it possible to search in detail on a Web application. PDF documents can also be improved and saved within the framework. Version 1.0 provides a schema-browsing control structure to separate application logic from the presentation layer and accelerated application test performance.

"Zend's framework has shown a good start," said analyst Mark Driver, vice president of Gartner's research firm.

"The only important part that is missing now is the component pattern of visualizing control. "Driver said. He cautions that programmers should be familiar with rapid application development techniques and the fourth generation language.

"The positive aspect is that these things are needed by mainstream it programmers," Driver said. But he also mentions that traditional PHP developers have expressed satisfaction with these already available.

Driver says the Zend framework presents a broad framework compared to some of the most sophisticated solutions in PHP. However, Driver said the Zend Company and its framework "entered the market a little late".

The Zend Framework to be released will increase support for Microsoft's CardSpace certification technology. Microsoft, a partner of the Zend Company, enables SQL Server to work with this framework.
