Last week at a dinner party, the hostess asked me to sit next to Mrs Rumbold. Mrs Rumbold is a large, unsmiling lady in a tight black dress. She did not even look up when I took my seat beside her. Her eyes were is fixed on his plate and in a short time, she is busy eating. I tried to make conversation. "A new play is coming to ' the Globe ' soon," I said, "Would you be seeing it?" "No," she answered. "Would you be spending holidays abroad the year?" I asked. "No," she answered. "'ll you being staying in England?" I asked. "No," she answered. In despair, I asked her whether she is enjoying her dinner. "Young Mans," she answered, "If you're ate more and talked less, we would both enjoy we dinner!"

A dinner last week, the hostess arranged me to be near Mrs. Lamborde. Mrs. Lamborde was a tall, stern lady, dressed in a tight black dress. After I sat down, she never looked up at me. Her eyes were fixed on the plate in front of her, and she ate quickly. I tried to find a topic to talk with her. "Now there's a play coming up, called ' Globe Theatre '," I said, "Have you seen it?" "No," she answered. "Do you have a plan to go abroad for a holiday this year?" "I asked. "No," she answered. "Do you live in England?" "I asked. "No," she answered. Disappointed, I asked her whether she was satisfied with the meal. "Young man," she said, "If you eat less time and talk more, we will be satisfied with this meal!" “
