For details about the rfind () method in Python, pythonrfind

The rfind () method returns the last index or-1 found in the sub-str. If no such index exists, you can select to restrict the search string [beg: end].
Syntax

The syntax of the rfind () method is as follows:

Str. rfind (str, beg = 0 end = len (string ))

Parameters

  • Str -- this option specifies the string to be searched
  • Beg -- this is the start index. The default value is 0.
  • End -- this is the end index. By default, it is equal to the length of the string.

Return Value

If this method is found, the last index is returned. Otherwise,-1 is returned.
Example

The following example shows how to use the rfind () method.

#! /Usr/bin/pythonstr = "this is really a string example... wow !!! "; Str =" is "; print str. rfind (str); print str. rfind (str, 0, 10); print str. rfind (str, 10, 0); print str. find (str); print str. find (str, 0, 10); print str. find (str, 10, 0 );

When we run the above program, it will produce the following results:

55 to 122-1
