Forgot the root password reset for Mysql _ MySQL

Mysql forgets to reset the root password. This article uses Ubuntu as an example.

1. modify the Mysql configuration file

# Vim/etc/mysql/my. cnf ### or/etc/my. cnf ### add skip-grant-tables under the [mysqld] line, save it, and re-execute mysql service # service mysql restart

2. reset the root password

# Mysql-uroot-hlocalhost
Mysql> use mysql; mysql> update user set Password = password ('*****') where user = 'root'; mysql> flush privileges; mysql> quit;

3. re-modify the configuration file of the original mysql

# Vim/etc/mysql/my. cnf

Revoke deny a row of skip-grant-tables

# Service restart
