Forgotten technology-GOTO statement in PHP

(Like 04 years) in July 29, Sara released a goto declaration patch (adding a GOTO statement to PhP) in the newsgroup, which immediately caused a strong sensation in the newsgroup, just like Goto in C, there are both advantages and disadvantages.

Example:

function x ($a, $b) {

     if ($b > 0) {

          return x ($a + 1, $b - 1);

     } else {

          return $a;

     }

}

Use goto to replace the above recursive example:

function x ($a, $b) {

loop:

     if ($b <= 0) {

          return $a;

     } else {

          $b -= 1;

          $a += 1;

          goto loop;

     }

}
