Format page numbering in Word2007 document tutorial

By setting the WORD2007 Document page number format, you can select multiple types of page number styles to make the inserted page numbers more beautiful and practical. and the page numbering format also includes the Start Page numbering option, which is especially useful in many sections of Word documents. To format page numbers in a Word2007 document, the following steps are described:

Step 1th, open the Word2007 document window and swap to the insert ribbon. Click the page Number button in the Header and Footer group, and select the Format page Number command in the open page numbers panel, as shown in Figure 2008121503.

In the 2nd step, in the Open Page Number Format dialog box, click the number format Drop-down triangle button, and select the appropriate number format in the Numbering form Drop-down list, as shown in Figure 2008121504.

Step 3rd, if the current Word document includes multiple chapters, and you want the current chapter number to be reflected in the page number position, select the Include chapter number check box. Then, in the Chapter start list, select the chapter style from which to renumber, and in the Use separator list, select the section and page number separator, as shown in Figure 2008121505.

4th step, if you need to restart numbering from the current location in the Word document, instead of numbering sequentially from the page number in the previous section, you can position the insertion point cursor where you want to renumber, and then in the page numbering area, select the starting page number radio box and set the starting page number. Finish setting the page number format Click OK, as shown in Figure 2008121506.
