Four ways to access web elements in Struts2

The four ways to access web elements in Struts2 are as follows:

1. Use Actioncontext to access the map type request, session, Application object.
2. The request, Session, Application object (IOC mode) of the map type is accessed by implementing the Requestaware, Sessionaware, and Applicationaware interfaces.
3. Use Servletactioncontext to access HttpServletRequest, HttpSession, ServletContext objects of the Servlet API type (depending on the servlet API approach).
4. The HttpServletRequest, HttpSession, ServletContext objects (IOC mode) of the Servlet API type are accessed by implementing the Servletrequestaware interface.

Where the first two are decoupled from the Servlet API and the latter two are coupled to the Servlet API, the second approach is recommended.
