Four ways to make Windows 7 more LAN-sharing faster

Since the "figure" of the client system such as Windows Vista and Windows7 has appeared frequently in the local area network, there is a new idea to access the shared resources under the corresponding system environment. This is not a few of the following summary of the operation of the detailed items, can help us to efficiently share the connection!

1, enable offline settings, optimize shared connectivity performance

Windows Vista version of the system has a new addition to the offline settings, the smart use of this feature allows the computer system to automatically cache our frequent access to the shared resources directly to the local hard drive, the future network connection even if the problem does not work properly, We can also quickly access content in the target shared resource; it is clear that the ability to enable offline settings is cleverly enabled to greatly optimize the performance of shared connections. The following are steps for enabling offline settings and optimizing the performance of shared connections:

First, in the computer system desktop where the target shared resource resides, open Explorer, in the Pop-up System Explorer window, locate the folder where the target shared resource is located, right-click the shared folder, select Properties from the pop-up shortcut menu, and open the Properties Settings window for the target shared folder;

Next, click the Sharing tab in the Settings window, click the "Advanced Sharing" button on the Pop-up tab to open the Advanced Sharing dialog box in the target folder, select the "Share this folder" option in the dialog box, and click the "Cache" button to open the Cache Settings dialog box;

Then, in the Settings dialog box, check that the "All files and programs that users open from this share will be automatically available offline" option is selected, if you find that the option has not been selected, we should select it in time, and remember to select the "Performance optimization" option, and then click OK button to save the above settings so that when we later access the target shared resources over the network, the performance of shared connections is not affected by the state of the network connection and is always stable.

2, cleverly set up a protocol to ensure the stability of shared connections

In the LAN working environment, some special computer systems may be configured with several IP addresses, in such a computer system to try a shared access connection, we sometimes encounter a very strange sharing connection failure, that is, each time the computer system restart, the same shared resource connection is sometimes normal, sometimes abnormal , but if the IP address of the computer system is set to only one time, the target shared resource connection can always be stable, what is the reason why we should solve this strange sharing connection failure?

This kind of symptom occurs, most of the shared access Protocol of the target computer system is improperly set up. We know that the Windows system requires an SMB network protocol for shared access connections that currently support direct hosting, NetBios over TCP/IP working mode, And each time the system starts, the SMB network protocol uses a random mode of operation, and when a NetBIOS over TCP/IP mode is selected, the local computer automatically uses the first IP address of the local network card for a shared access connection. If the first IP address is not in the same working network segment as the computer system where the target shared resource resides, then the shared access connection is naturally not normal. Obviously, to make sure that the shared connection is always stable, we can use the following setup to make the computer system always access using direct hosting mode, which does not fix the shared access connection with the first IP address, but instead uses all IP addresses for shared access. Until you access the target shared resource:

First, open the Start menu in the local Windows system desktop, click the Settings/Network Connections command in the local system to enter the Network Connections List window, right-click the local connection icon that is connected to the target shared resource, and then click the Properties option in the pop-up right-click menu. Open the Properties Settings dialog box for the local connection;

Second, select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) option in the General Tab Settings page of the Setup dialog box, and the "Properties" button on the system screen, where a TCP/IP Protocol Settings dialog box will appear automatically, click the Advanced button, and eject the advanced tcp/ IP Protocol Settings dialog box;

Then click the WINS tab in the Settings dialog box to open the WINS tab Settings page, and at the NetBIOS settings for this page, select the Disable NetBIOS on TCP/IP project, and click OK to save the settings. This allows the SMB network protocol to always work with Direct hosting mode when a shared access connection is made at a later time in the local Windows system, and the shared access connection is always stable.
