France ACS Certifications

French Ministry of Health ( ministere de la Sante ) requires sanitary inspection and testing of plumbing and sanitary products entering France, demonstrating that the product does not alter the perception, chemical composition and microbial characteristics of the water. After the product complies with the relevant standard requirements, the ACS Health certificate can be issued in order to be sold in France through customs. Products involved:

1 , storage and conveying of water pipe fittings and materials: pipe coating or container, polyethylene pipe, polypropylene pipe, pipe fittings, PVC , ABS and other materials

2 , Water transport network accessories: water pumps, valves, flow meters, meters

3 , systems or appliances in contact with water: (e.g. faucets, pots, showers, shower rooms, etc.)

Test criteria:                                     

the criteria used for certification are AFNOR (French Standards Association), the relevant standards established by the AFNOR The corresponding safety and health standards have been established for the products and materials such as metal glass and ceramics. wherein the toxicity test is used to detect whether the materials and products are placed in water, such as heavy metals, softeners and stabilizers and other substances, organic testing is used to detect the characteristics of the affected materials, including products exposed to drinking water, water quality of the taste, odor and color indicators; Material properties test the mechanical properties of the material.

ACS The main testing content:

only in AFNOR XP p41-250,1-3 section for example , make a brief description :

A. Component analysis: According to "profile" requirements;

B. Storage Testing (microbiological analysis) component testing;

c. component group testing;

d. physical and chemical materials testing;

E. Toxicology and microbiological tests (according to different applications);

F. extraction test;

G. hot water test.                               

ACS The content certification process required to apply for the document:

The submission of the application document should be at least the following:

1 ), the applicant's name, address, contact information;

2 ), the name of the supplier of the structural part, the address and the contact person;

3 ), a technical table of representative part diagrams showing the different parts in contact with water (volume area in which the parts are in contact with the water, wet surfaces of the components, wet surfaces of each structural component, etc.);

4 ), a description of the technical specifications of each part series included, in particular the size range and the series of processes;

5 ), the name of the series of parts, for human consumption design, and water in contact with each part of the detailed description;

6 ), metal and mineral parts of the standard design and commercial nomenclature;

7 ), the formula description of the part and the commercial naming;

8 ), auxiliary materials (oil, grease characteristics);

9 ), intended for the circulation of water for human consumption;

Ten ), the name of the vendor of the structural part, the address, and the contact person.
