Frobenius Norm, abbreviated as f-norm, is a matrix norm, recorded as | | | | F.

The Frobenius norm of matrix A is defined as the sum of the square of absolute values of the elements of matrix A, i.e.

Can be used to approximate a single data matrix using a low rank matrix. The mathematical representation is to find a matrix B with rank K, so that the F-norm of the difference between Matrix B and the original data matrix A is as small as possible.
