Froont, funded by Inventure, released a public beta version today to simplify the responsive web design process in a code-less manner. In the past, designers and programmers used the PS prototype to communicate with each other, instead of the visual elements and drag-and-drop interfaces generated by CSS/HTML. In fact, Froont is expected to save the participation of programmers in the design and prototype drafting stages.

Responsive web design-a single version of website design can adapt to screen display on different devices-is very popular now. The flourishing of various mobile devices and desktop computers is one of the obvious reasons. Because it is necessary to cover the audience as widely as possible and preserve the user experience of different devices, responsive design is a very attractive solution for web design.

However, the traditional Webpage Design and division of labor are rather poor in responsive design. Designers must make a lot of compromises to demonstrate the effect of the site on various devices on a pile of static Photoshop. One solution is to let the designer and the front-end programmer use HTML/CSS to implement the Photoshop prototype, so as to have a more intuitive effect. However, the operation will surely be adjusted repeatedly to make the design dizzy.

In contrast, Froont's vision is to re-deliver the design to the designer-create a design through visual elements, which are actually generated using HTML/CSS and then stored on the cloud. This makes it easy to view and share effects on various devices. When the designer wants to deliver the design to the developer, it will not be static images or the like, but "clean HTML/CSS or completed website Facebook", Froont said.

Although this tool is still in the testing stage, it is very simple and has no restrictions. Various intuitive options can be used to adjust text addition, image import, Font, and layout. For example, there will be a sliding ruler at the top of the page. by adjusting the scale, the design will quickly re-arrange it to the target size. You can also set a "critical point" to mark a status and replace the content instead of simply re-arranging it.

Although there are many visualization tools available in various stages of the design, Adobe Reflow is similar to Froont in response-oriented design in the HTML/CSS stage. Froont said the main difference between the two is that it can run directly in a browser, so that it can instantly show the effect to team members, customers and developers, and get better feedback. Another delicate difference is that Froont focuses more on better design experience rather than reducing the amount of code.

Froont's six teams are scattered in San Francisco, Finland and Latvia. The company's founder is composed of Sandijs (designer and CEO), Andris (CTO), Anna (operation and market), and Eli (external Pr, it was also developed by the Finnish incubator Startup Sauna. Froont is currently only a branch of the company, and the Team is also a supporter of the Berta (Content Management System.
