Perform fsck repair on the file system built under LVM-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. In linux, if an error occurs in the file system created on the lvm, especially in the root partition, because the file system cannot be mounted for file system detection fsck, therefore, you can only start from the CD to enter the rescue mode. Still because fsck cannot be mounted, the last step prompts "the linux/has been detected, continue or skip ?" Skip this step. If you choose to continue, it must have been mounted, so you cannot mount fsck.
Because the disk is started from the rescue, after entering the shell, there is no lvm information, and no lvm-related commands such as vgchange, vgscan, and lvscan are available. How is this good?
These lvm-related commands are included in the lvm2 package after the system is installed, and the rescue mode is the basic command of the system, without these lvm-related commands. But linux must have taken this into consideration at the beginning, because it provides an lvm command to execute the lvm command and can access the lvm shell operation.
After entering the lvm shell, all lvm-related commands are available. You can use vgchange to activate vg. After activation, you can see the lvm used by the system under/dev. You can also perform file system detection on fsck.
